When GP Group contacted us to design the logo, the entire interior, and exterior branding as well as the wayfinding system our duty called to give this town a place where people could enjoy their time. Plovdiv is famous for its seven hills called “tepeta” and that’s how the mall got its name. There is an old tale that the hill was called Markov because of the syenite extracted for pavement use, which was exported as expensive building material to Germany, and each pave stone was worth one Deutsche Mark. So we had to respect the culture and the legend, creating a fine balance between nature and modern architecture.
